Mechanical Prediction Programs

CARE® MTBF Mechanical Failure Rates Module (http://www.bqr.com)

The MTBF prediction module is one of the basic modules that are required to construct the CARE® integrated design environment.
The tool provides capabilities to construct hierarchical project trees that include functional blocks and components data. Project tree of 1000 components can be put together in less then an hour.
MTBF predictions are then performed, using a full set of reliability methods and environments. The CARE® tool includes a library of components with full reliability data.
The CARE® tool provides a very flexible environment for reliability prediction.
Predict Failure Rates of components in accordance with the well known standard: Mechanical Failure Rates based on NPRD-95

CARE® SDTA - Stress Derating & Thermal Anal. (http://www.bqr.com)

the Stress Derating analysis is the definition of derating values for the analyzed components. The Stress Derating standards define common derating values for components groups. These values are provided with the CARE® and create the basis for the SDTA. Through the CARE® tables editor, the user can edit these values to any value.
The CARE® SDTA module analyzes the hierarchical project tree, as presented in the MTBF Prediction module.
The analysis is performed for Voltage, Current, Power and Temperature Values of each component. The analysis compares operating and derated allowed values, and is able to identify the over-stressed components in the tree. The number of overstressed components appears immediately after the analysis.

MECHREL (Mechanical Reliability Prediction Program) (Eagle Technology)

Performs a mechanical reliability prediction to the component level using the established reliability parameters of mechanical parts. Environmental and material factors are used in the calculation of base failure rates for the parts. The component failure rates are then summed to give an overall system reliability prediction.

Meridium    Enterprise Reliability Management System (ERMS)

The Meridium Enterprise Reliability Management System (ERMS) offers clients an industrial strength, enterprise wide tool set that analyzes plant maintenance data to achieve maximum equipment reliability and dependability.  Meridium client companies include refining and chemical processing sites as well as electric power utility companies and discrete manufacturing.  Meridum reliability analysis tools are supported by a powerful enterprise wide database with links into other plant systems such as: enterprise resource planning systems (ERP), computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and plant
distributed control systems (DCS).  This ability to store vast amounts of plant process, engineering and maintenance data in a single integrated information system provides the perfect computing environment for extensive reliability analysis.  Weibull, Normal and Log Normal distributions are available as well as Growth Modeling. Statistical Process Control (SPC) functions provide an integrated production quality management system.  All of these features are fully integrated and provide seamless
solutions that offer a high level of automation.

MRP (Mechanical Reliability Prediction Program) (Powertronic Systems)

MRP performs reliability prediction analysis in accordance with the "Handbook of Reliability Prediction Procedures for Mechanical Equipment," Document DTRC-90/010, prepared by the U.S. Navy David Taylor Research Center. The document approaches failure rate models in a similar manner as MIL-HDBK-217 for electronic equipment. In addition, Reliability Analysis Center document NPRD-91, Nonelectronic Parts Reliability Data is available as an option. Features include: provisions for system structure input and editing, component data input and editing, defaults for component reliability calculations, part/assembly/system failure rate calculation, generation of six predefined reports for part/assembly/system reliability.

PERCEPT (Sendrian Resources)

Identifies Material incompatibilities and recommends appropriate design solutions. Incorporates a material life analysis expert system for estimating polymeric material life. Addresses material degradation, corrosion and aging concerns expressed in AF R&M 2000 Program, AVIP (MIL-A- 87244) and the Navy Design Guidelines for Prevention and Control of Avionic Corrosion.

Relex Mechanical (Relex Software Corporation)

Relex Mechanical provides reliability calculations per the Handbook of Reliability Prediction Procedures for Mechanical Equipment (NSWC-94/L07) in a user-friendly environment. Highly acclaimed by both reliability experts and novices, Relex Mechanical provides the necessary tools for performing your analyses. Capabilities include a user friendly interface, powerful CAD Import/ExportWizard, comprehensive parts libraries containing tens of thousands of parts, scientific graphs, visual report designer, spelling checker, trade studies, VBA macros, and much more.
