Eexperience
1996 - present: The MITRE Corporation, Lead Engineer - Initiated
project for the Navy Program Executive Office (Theater Air Defense) to
provide independent evaluation of ORD requirements, ORD to TEMP requirements
traceability, and development of the Performance Verification Management
Plan for the Navy Area TBMD System.
1986 - 1996: The Center for Naval Analyses, Research
Analyst - Directed projects related to air defense including Littoral Air
Defense Study for Commander, Third Fleet and AAW Study for Commander in
Chief, Atlantic Fleet. The former study included direct support to Commander,
Carrier Group Seven during the battle group work up cycle. Both projects
involved in depth assessment of Aegis and NTU Combat Systems Performance,
including evaluation of Weapons Control Systems engageability and scheduling
algorithms, as well as performance of the SM-2 Block II, III, IIIA, and
IV missiles. Initiated and contributed to the Cooperative Engagement Capability
and Evolved Seasparrow Missile Cost and Operational Effectiveness Assessments.
Two years as independent analyst to Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation
Force.
1984 - 1986: Duke Power Company, Junior Engineer - Participated
in the safety analysis, licensing, and startup testing of the Catawba Nuclear
Power Station.
