Model Uncertainty is a theme common to a large number of scientific and engineering disciplines. In contrast wity "Parameter Uncertainty" which is a well-developed concept in theory and application, treatment of uncertainties stemming from modeling approach, structure, and assumptions, has not been the subject of a systematic investigation and technical discussion. The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for experts from various disciplines to express their views on the subject, and to work together in identifying important research issues and possible approaches to address them. some of the specific objectives of the workshop are to:

• Develop a working definition for Model Uncertainty
• Identify sources of model uncertainty and key factors affecting its magnitude
• Discuss different approaches to quantify model uncertainty
• Develop research agenda for resoling issues
